Born in Vallejo, California, Shavon eventually found her way to Tampa, Florida in 2000 and most recently to Birmingham,Alabama in 2009. The move to Florida and then Alabama gave her the opportunities to pursue her music as an R&B Singer. Her passion for music is felt throughout her straight from the heart lyrics and signature sultry voice that has drawn comparisons at times to Monica, Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige, and Keyshia Cole, on songs like “Please Forgive Me”, “When I Make Love To You” and fans favorite single “Dreams”. When asked who does she think she most sounds like, the always modest Shavon responds, “I think everyone has their own personality and own style, and that comes out in their music, so I would have to say I sound like me, with influences of Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, and Whitney Houston.” Never one to be boxed into any one category, she keeps the clubs sizzling with up-tempo melodies that keep the dance floor sizzling. Her up-tempo pop song “Bad” kept dance floors sizzling in 2007. For 2008 the diva is poised to take her talent to the next level with her lead single “Please Have My Baby”. Backed by a melody that keeps the head rocking, this is a sure fire in the clubs and radio. Shavon has opened for various BET comedians, featured at Ultimate First Friday’s, the only R&B artist invited to perform at the Tampa Tony Tribute, she’s opened for J. Holiday and most passionate to her heart various fundraising functions to include performances for Manatee County’s Sickle Cell Foundation, and Big Bro Community Task Force Stop the Violence Movement. Now in Birmingham, AL she has made her way to the hearts of many with her performances throughout the Birmingham area. Shavon says, “I just want to be sucessful” and “To the Top I plan on going”. Now in “2013” she plans to keep people smiling as she pushes harder than she ever pushed before. “Let’s make this count, it’s my Dream and They Do Come True!”
