Born in Dayton, Ohio, the vivacious & voluptuous Toccara is an American fashion model & television personality whose down-to-earth glamour has earned her many fans.
While a contestant on the third season of the smash-hit UPN series America’s Next Top Model, Toccara was named “Cover Girl of the Week” five times. She also brought her curves & lively personality to the second season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, where she lost 32 lbs. (15kg), & to VH1’s Celebrity Paranormal. Toccara gained 14 lbs back & went on to appear on Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp, which puts celebrities from past seasons up against new celebrities, & which premiered in March 2008.Toccara then hosted BET’s now defunct nightly program Take the Cake, a live interactive game show, & still works as a correspondent for BET’s popular entertainment news show, The Black Carpet.
Toccara, featured in Rocawear’s “I Will Not Lose” advertising campaign, has modeled for Torrid, Avon, Ashley Stewart, and Target, as well as in pages of fashion / lifestyle magazines like Essence, Vibe, and Smooth. She has appeared on several magazine covers including be The Next Level, Black Men, Braids, & Beauty, Today’s Black Women, & King. She has been on the on the Braids & Beauty, Today’s Black Women & King’s magazine (February/March 2006, March/April 2006 & April 2008), & has had featured coverage in: Essence, Ebony, S2S, Vibe & many others. Most recently Jones was featured in JonesVouge Italia’s first issue using all black models & is the first full figured model ever used in the publication.
Jones has modeled for Ashley Stewart, New York & Company, Target, Essence magazine, Vibe Magazine, King Magazine, & Smooth Magazine. Her runway shows include Hot 97’s Third Annual Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show, Luxe and Romance Fall 2005, Bet Presents: Rip the Runway 2, Elle Girl present Dare To Be You: Wal-mart Meets America’s Next Top Model’s 2006 and Alice & Oliva Fall 2006. She has co-hosted an episode of 106 & Park, & a new show on Oxygen entitled the 25iest Power Couples.
Toccara has shown her talent as an actress on several hit UPN series including Girlfriends and All of Us, & her guest appearances on talk shows let her share her energy & enthusiasm with a live audience. She occasionally appears on the Tyra Banks Show. In one talent episode, she served as a judge. She also hosted America’s Next Thick & Sexy Model on the show.
Toccara currently lives, works, & plays in Los Angeles. She believes people should follow their dreams because she is living proof that hard work & dedication can lead to making them come true.
