A’Desia brings a refreshing new meaning to modern day music. Her soulful voice and graceful style fuse together to create a truly authentic presence. When she sings, she shares a part of her soul with the audience. Her talent for singing was discovered when she was just 3 years old, singing along to The Little Mermaid. Her mother could not tell the difference between her voice and the television. From then on, it was destined to be. Throughout her academic career A’Desia has pursued music in every way possible; participating in chorus since the third grade, the Florida AllState Music Competition in middle school, honor choir in high school, and much more! Growing up she also loved to sing in the church choir. It didn’t take long for her to realize that she wanted to touch the lives of others through her music…so that’s exactly what she decided to do.

In her early teens, A’Desia decided to sing music that would help her to portray a positive image to the world..inspirational music. She has dedicated her time to creating songs that are both relatable and relevant to all of her listeners. Her music is characterized by a consistent inspirational theme while her choice of compositions utilize elements from various genres. Being of Jamaican and Dominican descent, A’Desia also enjoys incorporating reggae styles into her music. Her roots and her loved ones are what she values most in life. Some of A’Desia’s inspirations are Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Brandy, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan and Alicia Keys, but the person who she believes has truly inspired her the most throughout the pursuit of her career is the wonderful Celine Dion. When asked what her career goals are, she says, “At the end of the day, I just want to make a positive difference.”
