My name is Pretti Onyx and I have been singing since the age of four. I studied performing arts
from elementary school to high school, I graduated from the Brooklyn High School of the Arts. I
started recording music at the age of 18, but at the age of twenty-one I left the music scene
when I became pregnant with my first child, so I focused more on being a parent.
At the age of twenty-two I had another child and felt that my career as a singer was over so I left
and went back to school for my Bachelor’s Degree and began working in the medical
information field.
In 2016 I graduated college found a good job and the passion to do music came back again. I
was able to afford my studio time. I recorded my first single, Can’t Stop, in early 2017 and was
so excited when my friends and family loved the song. From that moment I knew that music was
the way for me so I recorded more songs and did showcases on the weekend to build my
portfolio.

My musical influences are mary J. blige, K. Michelle, and Keyshia Cole. They’re music reaches
out and touches the soul of not just women but men alike. I want my fans to listen to my music,
which tells the story of my life and to relate to the pain and joy of life. Each day i experience
something that either makes me sad or happy and through my music I wish to express these
feelings.
